The HARP Deal 2.0 and Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI)

 

If the loan on your San Diego County home was originated before May 31st, 2009 and you have private mortgage insurance you may still take advantage of HARP 2.0. We will work with your PMI Company to secure a transfer of your mortgage insurance coverage.  Eligible PMI Companies for The HARP Deal 2.0 refinance with The Lending Company are:

  • Radian
  • MGIC
  • Genworth
  • PMI

As with all loan programs there are guidelines  to follow, the most basic of which are:

  • Your loan is held be either Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae
  •  You owe more on your mortgage than your home is currently valued
  • Freddie Mac loans may have no late payments in the last 6 months and only 1 late pay in the last 12 months; Fannie Mae loans may have no late pays in the last 12 months (late pays are payments made more than 30 days after the due date)
